About Hamed Hossainian, PMHNP-BC
I was born into war, grew up stateless, lived in a refugee camp, and came to America at 27 starting from zero. I know what it means to carry that kind of weight — and to rebuild from it. That is why I became a psychiatric provider, and why every patient I see gets my full attention, not just a prescription.
Trained at Bellevue Hospital Center (forensic psychiatry, inpatient psychiatry, psychiatric emergency) and Mount Sinai West, I hold an MSN from Stony Brook University and am completing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Gannon University. I also serve as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at CUNY.

- Anxiety Treatment — Generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic disorder, and OCD-related conditions.
- Depression Treatment — Major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder, and treatment-resistant depression.
- Bipolar Disorder Management — Mood stabilization, medication management, and ongoing monitoring for bipolar I and II.
- PTSD and Trauma-Informed Care — Trauma-informed psychiatric evaluation and medication management for PTSD and complex trauma.
- Bilingual Psychiatric Care in Farsi and Dari — Sessions available in English, Farsi, or Dari for Persian and Afghan communities.
Pricing
Initial Psychiatric Evaluation: $250 (60 minutes)
Follow-Up Visit: $175
Payment accepted via cash, card, or check. Superbills provided upon request for out-of-network insurance reimbursement.
A superbill is an itemized receipt with your diagnosis code, CPT procedure code, and provider NPI number. You submit it to your insurance company after your appointment, and they reimburse you directly based on your out-of-network benefits.

Do you accept insurance?
No. This is a private-pay practice. You pay at the time of service and receive a superbill to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. All appointments are secure HIPAA-compliant video visits. You can be seen from anywhere in New York State.
Do you speak Farsi or Dari?
Yes. Sessions are available in English, Farsi, or Dari — whatever feels most natural to you.
